Looks great, and what a good price. Just get some decent suspension on it and you'll be a happy boy!

Thanks for all your opinions, it was a mega bargain and lowering/new rims are definitely on the cards, but not sure what to go for really.

I want a smoothish ride and don't want it too low. What sort of springs/dampers would you recommend? I was thinking maybe KONI Adjustables?

Also what size wheels can you get away with on a MK3? If I went for 17s would I be looking at something like 205/40/R17 with say a 35/40 drop, would arch clearance/gearing be an issue?

Got koni/eibachs on mine with 205/40/17 rubber and clearance is fine.

Koni/eibachs are probably the best set up short of coilovers.(In my opinion, before I get shot down)

my mates bought a weitec kit from c and r for his mk3 8v .i went out in it for the first time yesterday and the ride was really good.i think it was -40mm but not harsh at all.

i think it was the ultra gt kit.supposed to retain factory style ride quality just lower.

    ultra gt
