Anyone know where to get one ? I just removed mine as per my other thread, the wire has come off right at the base so is not repairable.

if anyone has one or know where to get one please let me know !

Its the part labeled part throttle channel heating at the bottom of the image

I've seen people split them to re-solder the wire, well worth a go since yours is bust anyway!

part number is 026906333, but its long since nla and not a lot of options pop up in google :(

Yep, I've repaired one from this state. Have you measured Ohms/resistance from the broken off wire to the front brass face? Only worth repairing the wire if that measurement gives you a low number (single-figures Ohms IIRC). May need to clean the brass face to get a good contact.

If you do get a good resistance reading, and you don't fancy repairing it, I'll happily have a go for you, PM me as required.

I bought one from a VW dealer about 6/7 years ago - was about 25-30 quid though! Probably was the last one in the country. lol

ah poop thats not good. Ive emailed a carb specialist in Essex but not holding out any hope.

Thanks for the part number i'll call the dealers just in case !

EZ_Pete/rubjonny, splitting it to re-solder sounds like its worth a shot, will have to dig out the soldering iron ! will get the multi meter on it first.

Its the original carb and has done 155k so its lasted quite well so far, there are a few 2nd hand carbs on ebay, keeping an eye out for a cheap one.

Fast road cars have 2 webbers left, but I need tyres as well so cant justify it at the moment.

Just so you know the Weber carb I bought didn't come with the heater, but they still need it. I swapped ours over from the old carb when I did the swap.

Where did you fit it? I have a Weber but can't find a single place to fit it.

I remember seeing this before, if you look at the bottom front of the carb you can see the heater and the wire that goes to it:
