Just enjoy this bit first it's not all about the engine it's how it will drive and put the power down
If I'd found God I wouldnt have to build it before I got to drive it as surely he would have built it for me?
Thanks Brackets have arrived from Germany for the rear calipers and got a call today from the laser cutters that the camber/toe brackets are ready to collect so time to get on with mounting the haldex diff then at least driveshafts and prop can be sorted and brake lines can be run! Haldex controller is nearly there thanks to sparrow (Alex)of DTAfast Front discs should also be here next week and I need to get on my mates case as he said he has some Porsche rear calipers that I can use on the front, once that lot is here I can get the new wheel bearings in and paint the suspension components
Welded location bar onto the beam Then removed original diff and cut out brackets which is right pain then cleaned all the welds back so it was smooth, horrible dirty job but it's done! Then bolted haldex diff on to location bar Bolted rear carrier to diff and tack welded in place Once that was tacked in place front mount was tacked in place so just need to seam weld it together
Heavy duty work going on there! Coming together nicely I feel your pain with all the grinding, only just finished crawling about under the back of mine after an hour of removing underseal with a Zip wheel. lol
Lovely job your doing there!! Lol Should have stayed at work for another hour and finished the welding but I might just go in early tomorrow and get it done, luckily I have a spare beam so the car is still rolling which helps
Hopefully get the rear beam back on tomorrow to get drive shafts sorted and engine and box in to get some bits mocked up
Don't want it breaking do we!! I was using a murex mig before that I had for about 20 years and served me well! But the fabricators next door are using these 180's and for the price they are fantastic was a only on number 4
