Right.... Before the Great Forum disaster of 2003 :)

    I posted this topic...

I am getting tired of my car and its suspension set up. The Tyres keep wearing unevenly. Also costing a fair bit on petrol for a long distance Girlfriend (120 miles of M6 Driving)

So i think i have two options

1 Get the Suspension set up properly and engine tuned (Also involved buying a nice 40-60mm lowering quality shocks (i'm getting sick of the Shortened Spring harsh ride with Standard shocks) Cost ? and having it set up by Awesome/VW)

2 Get a nice Mk3 Golf TDI for about 2500 and keep that going for a fair few years (Also will be cheaper on insurace and Group 8) My Mk2 1.6 Driver is Group 9.

    Any opinions ?

You can have your tracking done anywhere. My bro is a technician for Hendys (Ford Dealership) and he does everything I need doing either free or cheap (service 20, MOT 20), BONUS! [:D]

my camber & tracking was done on a 4 wheel laser rig by a BMW garage for 50, totally transformed the car.

Get the suspension sorted it will make all the difference. I toyed with the idea of gettin a mk 3 tdi, but because it was a newer car the insurance was actually dearer!
