So I've got a Golf Mk3 GTI 5 door, I've sourced a new front passenger door because mine had been hit while parked.

The problem I have is The door I've sourced is from a Mk3 3 Door.

Will this still fit my car correctly?

yes.. I apologise that I don't know this stuff yet.. surely that's why I came to this forum to learn what I don't know, which isn't a lot to be honest, so if you're not going to be polite and be patronising instead please don't post on my threads.

But thanks for the answer anyway (:

Everyone has to start somewhere but if you don't know the difference in door size between a 3 door and a 4 door, then you have a long journey to basic knowledge.

I know that.. again.. that's why I'm here.. I'm just saying when you're talking to someone you don't have to be such a patronising person, it's very unwelcoming, impolite and was not appreciated.

If you have input on something, however menial it may be to you, the least you can do is be polite...

madmanmart, sis on you! lol Jaket94, you might want to loosen up a little. I don't see any harm intended on a personal level. Some will post, some ignore and others might enjoy a bit of light entertainment from it. You will experience far greater knocks in life! It's up to you to see yourself in everything/everyone. Just learn from it, gain the wisdom and progress forward. Otherwise in future, people might dismiss your questions for fear of saying the wrong thing! Pigbladder answered your question in post#2, you could have thanked him personally by clicking he's Thanks  button.

...and no, you want a front passenger door from a 5 door model however if you need a bonnet or a tailgate then yes it will fit regardless of whether it's a 3 or 5 door model.

Did you manage to source the correct door? Once you get the correct one and possibly same colour (will help you avoid having to respray it) it's pretty straight forward to swap over.
