Hey guys I'm new here in the forums .. I just got Golf MK5 GTi couple of months ago
I really loved it so much ... for a standard Gti (( Only abt body kits added )) thats it nothing more
in 4 months the warranty will be expired .. So, I'm thinking about a few changes ((modifications)) .. just to be clear i'm satisfied with the performance so far even with the STOCK engine 2.0 hp200 ... few guys suggested to :-
1- Reprogram the ECU chip (( The dealer is doing that )) it cost around $ 1,500 .. giving around 35 HP+ and its something official from VW so my engine will not blow with heavy usage
2- changing the whole exhaust system with something like Borla system

I'm like ZERO % of knowledge about the whole Tuning world ... So what do you think guys

Sounds like your on the right track although if your having a full exhaust system your better off having the stage 2 map to get the full potential from the exhaust. Mines been tuned since its had about 3k on the clock (now 45k) and haven't had any issues. I've had the revo stage 2+ software with turbo back exhaust, high pressure fuel pump, forge intake and a few other little bits and bobs. She certainly flys... Go for it you won't be disappointed.

I also personally wouldn't buy the whole dealer map rubbish. They will probably only take it to the local revo dealer and yet charge you twice as much (I know this does happen as a good mate of mine his dad is the manager at Audi) any decent tuner will be able to map your car to the safe perimeters

Indeed...my local VW garage is staffed by Toyota specialists from when the place changed hands. I'm not saying they're not competent, but I'd be happier going to a specialist with Revo - or whoever - trained staff and support.

thank u guys .. I'm sorry if i'm asking so many stupid questions
This Revo stage 2+ program ... Can I go for it directly or there is like a stage 1 required or anything ((to go step by step))??
If its ok to go for it directly... Is there anything I'm gonna need to change to get FULL PERFORMANCE of that program or just the program it self is enough??

    Appreciate your help guys... :)
