Not wanting to sound all Michael Moore but does it concern any of you that the most powerful nation in the World, the one that blows anyone up it considers dangerous, cannot mount a rescue operation in the wake of it's biggest natural disaster ever? Perhaps it's because there's no enemy to blame this time although it wouldn't suprise me if a few mad Generals recommend they send a few nukes to the heavens as a "warning".
I agree, this totally amazes me, and all Bush is saying to them is to have patience!! WTF?! ...pull your finger out D1ckead! I bet a lot to do with it is because New Orleans is one of the poorer states, if it was`nt, it would have had aid/water/help by now...sad but true.
Probably that and the fact that the USA seems very de-centralised i.e. all the states are like seperate countries and tend just to look after themselves
v.disturbing pics coming frm new orleans, dead bodies lying there, people stealing from one another for basics and martial law being declared
The whole `Super power`thing is bullpoo anyway, they have a large amount of there armedforces in 2 countrys and they are completely overstreched fighting irregular troops,China has a bigger Army yet noone in the West gives it a mention? It just goes to show how full of sh i t eAmericans are when they shoot at thier own rescue helicopters ffs!
It's a sad reflection of American society. When the Tsunami occurred the people helped each other as much as they could, they are poor, but what little they have they were prepared to offer to their neighbour regardless of colour or class. No-one was reported looting or taking advantage. Compare and contrast this to the 'me me' culture in North America, everyone is out for themselves, they are reaping the results of a selfish and money centric model of living. Sad thing is that this country is half way there already.
Yet again the Americans are using guns to control people. Did the Tsunami victims need martial law? No, they just all helped each other out. The government were warned time and time again by their disaster specialists about: 1)A terrorist attack on New York. 2)An earthquake in California. 3)A hurricane in New Orleans. Looks like they threw everything into the first scenario and left the others out. I'm sick of America - It seems to just bring poverty, ill health and misery to the rest of the World.
I`m disgusted by the attitude of a lot of the people over there to be honest. Rape, murder, looting ... ... and this constant whining on about me, me, me. You arent the only one with a problem ... thousands are in the same position as you, you selfish ignorant sh*t. Instead of whining on, how about you pull together and help each other ? And ... not wishing to make a social comment ... ... its quite clear that a great many people from a certain ethnic group are causing most of the problems.
Superden - I think the "black" thing is more circumstantial than anything, a bit like if a hurricane hit Bradford. Aside from that though, if the USA can't look after it's own people despite continual warnings of this disaster in the past, how the HELL can it strut around on the global stage modelling itself as the "World Police?!"
Maybe so ... ... but its black people in the stadium threatening to rape the white girls. Not the other way around.
Shooting at the helicopters trying to help them. Yep, help them all you want. You can't expect them to be all gentlemanly and queue up and stuff but you can't expect good treatment after stuff like that.
Well if that's the case, they deserve to be gunned down. I can vaguely undestand looting for food as the government have done naff all but rioting and rape are hardly the actions of desperate survivors. Methinks this will raise many questions about the society the World seems to worship.
The thing is ... ... when 9/11 happened the whole city/state pulled together. I think this is location specific to be honest, rather than a problem with the USA in general.
So you reckon the social class that makes up the majority of New Orleans is what's rotten to the core, not the USA as a whole? I think the World is watching how the States react to this and the f*ck up that has occurred so far will make the World question their superiority, whether that's right or not. I'm not usually this serious on a Friday BTW
