New S3 later this year

How i have missed this!

Based on current a3 with the mk5 gti's 2l four tuned to 270hp

Also looking tasty is audi Q3 for 2008. Aimed at freelander market, will use current VAG(tsi) engines and a 'S' version with the S3(new) engine

Just seen a ukmkiv thread stating that audi are going to release a RS3 after all !

Both new s3 and rs3 confirmed in latest 'Autocar' : )

S3 out in Jan07, 26k, 260ps from mk5 2.0l, 0-60, 6s

RS3 using r32 lump cranked upto 300ps, not sure of price.

 

Nice but I dont think it has the presence of the old S3 tbh!!

Then again thats probably cos those rims dont do it much justice...

looks good, but has had bad write ups on the drive.

why they didn't choose the v6 over a 4pot i'll never know.....

 

cos of good ol' Vag marketing.......the 3.2v6 is going into the RS3.

Do agree with Den tho, this variant is pretty bland compared to the previous generation,....but then bias-ly,.....i would say that!

 

but its used in the A3 quattro already?
