Depends how the deal was arranged, surely, and clearly Radical had their slice of PR in there...

But what achievement exactly is it for Toyota to grab the phone, call Radical, and mention they'd to pass one of their cars off as their own?

Install a couple of electric motors, and suddenly it's not a Radical? Does that make this Porsche a Williams with the F1 constructor's KERs system it has on it? Err, no. Never. It's a works-prepared Porsche, the end.

It's silly season at the 'Ring again and there are some very deluded PR people in this World...

Thing is, what is an achievement? It's a very subjective game, where a performance has to be exceeded against a pre-defined benchmark, which appears to be a Peugeot EX1, which is not a race car.

I'm going to take solace from the fact that Pistonheads really couldn't give 2 hoots about it:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...t=Toyota electric vehicle record at the 'ring.

    http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...new+lap+record+in+an+EV+racer+at+Nurburgring,

Tells us all we need to know, which is no petrolhead is bothered about electric cars, Radicals or Toyotas, even when they're at the hallowed Nurburgring. Two years ago the place was alive with debate about the Radical and whether it was or wasn't a road legal, blah de blah.

I am surprised that anyone even felt the need to point out the radical stickers on the car.

You can instantly the moment you hit play on the vid from the front arches & vents, just assumed that beacuse we are all into racing/track cars that everyone would realise this?

A total non event and the future looks sh*t. The sound is so depressing.

This thread is the devils work.

It is not all bad Ali, hopefully the batteries in that Sporty Prius thing will have enough power to drive a huge amp and speakers to play the sound from this car. Turn it up.

For me, as soon as I saw the forward cage bars.

Couple of clicks later and I found a pic of the car.

Why is the thing understeering like a pig? Still RWD, or has it got one of the two motors on the front axle?
