Hi all, I was wondering what brakes were on an Ocvtavia RS, as in disc diameter and if the calipers/carriers would fit on to a MK3 golf.
    TIA[:D]

you would need 288 brakes to start with, otherwise youll need a new calliper and brake hose

I want bigger brakes anyway, and I like the Skoda green so I don't mind replacing the lot, just wondered what parts I would need and how big they were.
Will 312mm fit insde my wheels (17" team dynamics pro race 1.2) I think they will?

will need the discs then, the 288/312 caliper (different to the 280 caliper) and then the 312 carrier and the relevent hose. once you have the 288/312 pad, youre done

bit over kill for an 8v golf innit?

No I was just looking at a Skoda at work today and thought the green would look good against the black of my motor. I spose they would fit off a Flabia as well wouldn't they? They would probably be a more appropriate size[:$]

Nout wrong with wanting the good big set of brakes, wether a car is 8v, 16v or a vr

They all need to stop and the quicker car grindes to halt the better in my books

312mm upfront as stated, well they come with either the vrs 180bhp as standard 20valve turbo lump (can map to around 220ish bhp) or a 150bhp 20vt lump that can map to around 200ish bhp.
These i imagine are the ones you would want to consider fitting to your car rather than the NA versions which lack power to say the least!
