ODB2 Software / Ap to clear codes

Hi there, I've posted elsewhere in the forum that I have an error code P1296 which is to do with the cooling.

I have an ODB2 wirless connector and use and Ap on my iPhone called Rev2. When I try and clear this code it locks up. I have sucessfully cleared code with this set up on other makes of car.

Is there somthing specific to VW that I need to do?

There's another called Torque that may be worth a try

 

Torque doesn't work with the I phone.
