Hit a deer at 70mph on the M27.
Luckily no damage to wings or bonnet, but hefty 800 bill to rebuild the front.

Unfortunately the deer didn't pull through.

Nasty, quite amazing that it didn't harm the bonnet or wing though!

The work was done at a local bodyshop, a fair few parts were involved eg. bumper, headlight, grill, trim, some sort of re-enforcement, number plate, bulbs....etc - then paint, labour and VAT on top.
I could have maybe found the parts cheaper, but I needed the car back pronto and that was the best of three quotes I had.

I hope you took the deer home, the meat is worth selling, just not the side you hit!

    Could be slightly brused [:s]

Hahaha, you're all cracking me up

Watch out for em tho, last night I was heading back to soton on the M3, and there was a very dead deer between lanes 1&2 near winchester.
Bit further down the road was a nice new 3series beemer on the hard shoulder, front trashed and owner on a mobile looking 'buck'ing annoyed.

I think it was on top gear last night about hitting deer!

If you knock one over, you are not allowed to have it for food...but the fisrt person who spots it after it being knocked, can take it!!!

    Some crappy law!!!
