So far I have: Mk2 Pirelli alloys fail Pirelli hubcap fail Cheap tyres fail Numberplate naff fail Couldn't be bothered to go to GSF to get a chin spoiler fail Steering wheel GTI inlay painted silver fail Gearknob fail Missing tailgate badges fail Hatch spoiler fail Tin opener sunroof fail Stated as 1982, so Campaign replica fail Price fail + West Yorkshire's Arthur Daley - pass Did I miss much?
+ Looks like its been chaved up at some point (missing rear wiper and badges etc..) and someone has tried to put it back to standard and made a hash of it. Massive fail for putting a big picture of a "Runway" tyre thou, tells anyone who knows any thing about cars its been done on the cheap! oh and +chrome front grille badge fail Dan
If we are to pull it apart, its also missing the passengerside sill trim, because i think its had a new sill and the clips are no longer on there. Whilst it doesn't state its a campaign, its a poor job of one. also for 6k no mileage mentioned? I'd want it to be less than 100k for that kinda money otherwise its worth 3-4k tops.
throw in an aftermarket exhaust (roll tip tailpipe) and wonky front bumper too - proper minter all round! The detailed build /restoration write up clinches it though - "service bills ect"
No one has mentioned the old ford stereo in it as well, looks like the sort of thing old sierras had - nice! You'd think they'd at least clean the door shuts and seats and is that a rust spot on the door step?
Whilst we're being picky, where is the wire from said stereo through the door grommet to the door bin speaker? And what's that big carpet patch under the accel pedal?
I've just had a search, & wasn't the silver used on this car also found on black tie special edition golfs made in 1982?
