Please verify for me that a Gatso facing you on the other side of the road can not take a picture and prosecute you?

I'm a touch worried as i flew through one earlier, first that has ever gone off when i have sped the opposite way!

    Ooooops!

Pretty sure they can't get you if they are facing the other way, you should be OK!

DOn't blame me if you get an NIP through the post though [:^(]

Are you sure it wasnt -

    1. Your lights catching on the lens ?

    or

    2. Someone going the other way ?

As far as I know a Gatso is rear facing only, it doesnt/cant take pics of the front.

Second that, you can`t get done for driving on opposite side going towards it.The lines on opposite side of road are for cars etc. overtaking driving away from camera.

I got flashed by a Gatso on the other side of the road a few weeks back and have not heard anything yet.....

But since learning that if you are over the speed limit going towards it and can set it off, I set it off when I approached one and somebody was going the other way last week, making them think they've been flashed

I got flashed by an oncoming gatso in March, and got nothing...so u'll be ok.

Its probebly just your head lights reflecting, and causing the camera to think something has gone through!

    I was doin 80 on a 60 then

Agreed - can't be done for it. When I used to drive from Edinburgh to Newcastle in my lorry, I used to batter through them (the facing ones) at 75mph to set em off - just wasting bulbs and film

Yup they don't get you, i did it the opther nite and just to confirm this is with lines on BOTH sides of the road.

Also to confirm, the road angel never goes off for when its on the otherside of the road, pretty pointless if they did get u and the road angel never told you about it!

    You will be fine!

Just set them off all the time to fool other drivers to thinking they got a ticket! LOL!

so hang on let me get this straight, if theres a GATSO on the otherside of the road to you and you bomb through it you don't get a ticket, even if there are the lines on both sides of the road?
