This was my prized Celica Gt4 Carlos Sainz, until my wonderful hi-tech rally bred brakes didn't stop me going into the back of a Merc who decided to slam the anchors on, at 70mph on the M1!! upside was I have a Mk2 16v now, and its 100 times more reliable, fuel efficient and I would even say better to drive than the Gt4. Ouch that looks nasty, impact speed? 10-20mph tops i reckon. Why did the merc slam on the brakes? Is the engine salvagable? i don't want it btw mods.
Amazingly as the car was so rare, a guy came and bought the complete wreck just for the engine!! Lucky for me, didn't lose too much money in the end. shame though
pity the wheel trims weren't so rare! EDIT: just noticed they weren't Halfords specials, but alloys Edited by: darrynK
Ha ha, they are alloys, pretty naff ones though for a car like that. It was 4wd 230bhp and its got tiny 15" wheels!!
I remember Mr Sainz driving one of them in the season he rolled his WRC Celica 3 times in one day, 3rd was his last, Australia I think. The year Kankunen won the Championship in the Delta. Nice Celica, well, it was. Edit: can't spell, can't talk, can't drink properly. Any decent God would put me out of my misery. Edited by: madmonkey
