Broken toes, broken thumb, smashed cartilage in left knee (2 ops)....on the whole i got off very lightly, fully conscious throughout, even managed to persuade ambulance guys i could get me leathers off without em cutting em..900 Spyke race suit, all the gear did its job, was lucky in the fact that i flew over the car and didn't actually hit anything.

The estimated collision speed was around 100mph for mine according to the old bill.

Well if your gonna have a crash on a bike, it may as well be a good one. I too had a nasty one on my R6 last year, same way as well, hit a left hander that i wasnt familiar with and it just got tighter and tighter. no chance of chucking it round so i thought oh well, here goes nothing as i headed for the grass bank on the other side of the road but as luck would have it, a vw polo was coming from the other way and went straight into the side of me. still landed on the grass bank but only after being thrown up in the air first. resulted in 6 months off work, leg broken in 6 places and a nice shiny pin and a few screws holding it together.
