P0606 Fault Code

Had this code latching for a while now and have tried various options.
It suggests a ECM internal issue however I have had the ECU out and Bench tested it, serviceable.
Anyone seen this before?

One of the symptoms is the cruise control doesn't work! Otherwise everything tuns fine

 

Is it a software fault rather than hardware?

I just read that a re flash could fix it.

 

Yeah funny you say that, it was in for a cam belt change and the garage did something that has now rectified it!

A faulty brake pedal switch can cause these type of errors and weird unrelated electrical faults.

Genuine one from vw is about 18 ish. Worth replacing if you're experience similar issues.

Has a similar issue on the missus Polo recently.

 

Yeah, I replaced that, fault not come back so happy days!
