well just wanted some opinions on painting brake calipers.

i have a black MK3 2.0Gti with the larger front calipers and now have some 17" rims and its getting booked into the garage to get the suspension set up sorted as we speak (pics to follow)

What colour shall I paint the calipers front and rear.??

    Leave them
    RED?
    Silver?
    Gold?

I got some Red smooth hamerite back having second thoughts now as Silver seems a better choice.

I've got mine painted Silver and they do look good!!! Red looks good too though!!! As you already have the paint i would do them red first. If you dont like them once they are done then you can always paint them again!!

Yes, i used it, found it very easy to use. Just got to make sure that you clean the calipers well before you start.

I just got a wire brush and some wet 'n' dry on them but mine were quite rusty and covered in mud where i had lleft them hanging around for ages. If yours are just covered in dust and not too rusty i would get some brake cleaner and a wire brush and give them a quick clean that way. Hellfrauds sell brake cleaner i think...........
