    Hi,

    I have recently purchased a 2004 MK5 2.0 GT TDI.

I read somewhere that there is a possible issue with the standard water pump? Have i read correctly and if so does anybody know where i can sorce a replacement?

Also whilst im giving the car a going over are there any other common fault parts worth replacing?

    Many thanks,

    Mark.

If theres no history of it, do the cambelt, water pump and all rollers together. If the cambelt has been done recently wait until the cambelt needs doing and do the water pump then.

No common fault on water pumps, found far more issues with mk4 pumps failing after long time than mk5's

OEM pumps from dealer about 35+vat from dealers!
