All the manifolds will likely be wrong along with engine mounts, and bellhousing. The block might not even be tapped for transverse mounts.

    in a word.. no

as above... mounts wrong and blocks no always tapped for transverse set up, its just a million miles easier to pick up a transverse engine to start with

Yes the AEB block works and will bolt in. But that is it. You will need manfold intake and exhaust for a transverse engine, sump, oil filter housing and in the end you should have just got a transverse engine in the first place.

thats the only one thats tapped though isnt it? and im sure ive read somewhere that not all blocks were tapped so theres always the outside risk its not been done.

plus like you say you need all the other bits which will be from a transverse... so in which case just pay a couple quid more and get the full lump in one go
