One of my mates is looking at buying a 02 1.8t passat with about 150K miles, is there anything he should be specifically looking for, or anything thats likely to need replacing at that sort of mileage?? cheers ian.
worn turbo, clutch g/box. mayo in the oil or water the usual things really. Although i have to say i had a v6 syncro with 112k that was very good for the mileage with no obvious problems
was lookin for info on these myself yesterday. Alot of people suggest electric,i.e. widows,sunroof etc. And Front suspension, engine mounts are suppose give prolems. I was considering buy one as a daily driver and keep valver for weekend etc..They seem to be rly good value(compared to Golfs). Plus have been told that they are easily remapped.
