    Hi all,

Have a 1.9TDI 130 Passat, and lately has become totally guttless.

It is kinda OK when you get above 3k (not totally right), but if you are sitting on the motorway at 2k rpm and put your foot down there is absolutely nothing there.
It feels like the turbo is doing nothing, cant hear it either.

Above 3k I can just about hear it boosting and picks up relatively OK.

Need to do a boost check on VagCom at some point but was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Have read about the "Mr Muscle" clean for the turbo but want some facts/ideas first

    Cheers
    Luke

Sounds like you have an issue with the vacuum system on the VNT mechanism on the turbo. Check all the vacuum pipes to the various control valves especially the N75 which is located just in front of the turbo at the back of the radiator.
when the engine is started you should see the turbo actuator pulled in and then when the engine is revved it will should move out as boost builds.

Wonder if you`ve got a split boost hose or something and it`s losing boost. ?

    Thanks for the comments....
Took a look this weekend and a few vacuum hoses were perished. Changed those and the boost is back to normal

    Cheers
