Thats really short compared to the inlet manifold I've got, the diameter of the tubing looks smaller as well. Mine better produce some decent figures after all the trouble I've gone to. Velly, those clips are in the post, you should get them by tomorrow at the latest.

Velly, have you checked the classifieds in the Motorsport Weekly paper, they sometimes have some weber 45s for sale in there quite cheap, usually of a pinto.

It comes out every wednesday, looks like a newspaper. It has a massive classified section, there was a MK1 golf in there recently, used for hill climbs, had a 2ltr 16v on twin 45, Leda coilovers, AP 4 pots, full cage etc for 2000. Also have loads of parts for 205s Sam.

Thanks i'll check it out. Easy to find a copy?

Its getting hard to find cheap 45s, the place who make them, now
moved to spain from italy had problems supplying them apparently.
    Italians were better anyway:lol:

Don't think i'll be needing 45s jsut yet

Some people prefer carb induction note to that of TB's...............

Most newsagents sell it. Its not only carbs you can get for your car, I regulary see quaife diffs for a couple of hundred quid, tarmac spec coilovers, big brake kits, even a couple of carb'd MI16 engines ready to slot straight into a 205.

I'm sure you could squeeze a Mi16 engine in there ;) A mate of mine picked one up cheap, the body was rough but the bloke spent over 3 grand fitting the engine and the thing flew, would light up the wheels in 3rd gear. He did get through a couple of drive shafts though.

just out of itnerest, cant you put the mi16 head on that block thats in the 106 at the moment ?

Built a mi16 head onto an 8v 1.9 gti bottom end i think it was ? Steel pistons, flown head, lightend and balanced, lairy cams, and a set of 50's..
Measured 185bhp ATW before it came on cam at bridgewater colleges rollers ! Played around with the rollers all day to try it get it to sit tight, strapped it donw more and more, was an utter monster
    just kept jumping out :p

Not many people do the mi16 head on 8v bottom end, the mi16 has
piston sprayers and better crank etc, but some do and see decent
    results tho :)

Can't fit that head to mine no, different engine types, mi16 is XU mine
    is TU :)
