petrol tank straps

    What car do you have? the MK3 ones are only 11 each new from VW!

    We do Tank strap kits, they're about 20ish (part no. 1H0-201-650)

    i am fitting a mk3 16v gti fuel tank to my mk2 8v gti, do i need the mk3 tank straps or will i be able to fit witht the mk2 straps? if i need mk3 please can you give me the price for the mk3 16v straps.

    Not done this conversion, but one of our staff has a mk2 VR6, and she had a browse over on the mk2 vr6 forum for me.
    The answer is Mk3 tank with Mk3 straps, which will need Mk3 lines too, this is for VR6 application, but guess it is the same principle for the 16v tank.
    We dont list mk3 parts so you would need to track down the straps from the main dealer or a GSF or equivelant.

    cheers for that, i have the lines and tank. i will need extensions / or new lines to connect onto the originals as i have heard they are not long enough.
