    better design

    been looking about and it seems that alot of peeps have done the polo chop/pick up. so i have decided to go a litle bit further and extend the back making it look like a mini caddy.
    This is what i hope it looks like when i finish. any comments welcome more pics to come.

    Inspired by the `Paddywagon` per chance. ;)

    Should be a proper weapon. :thumbup:

    EDIT; I wouldn`t say `loads` of people have done it, but extending yours should make it something a bit different.

    i like different should be a good challenge im extending it so when the bike engine is in i have more weight over the back wheels as it will be rear wheel drive. i would love to chop 2 inches of the roof hight but not sure if i can get the front window glass made. nice polo chop i like the smooth doors something to think about.

    That sort of thing wouldn't normally appeal to me, but that looks good.
    Though a roof chop as well would look even better. :)

    roof chop

    decided to go all the way and chop the roof aswell. 2 inches should give it a nice look ill worry about getting the glass later.

    Looks better without the roof chop IMO... :(

    Whatever you do, don`t let it end up like this;

    That's a little too aggressive, but balanced out with different wheels, maybe.
    I meant the one you're planning, not the green thing. That's just wrong.

    thats a bit long and short for me. I will go for some ats cups 13" front 14" on the back. I wont chop the roof like the picture maybe just an inch I know more when I start chopping how much to take out with out loosing the look.

    that one can't be finished though surely? with steelies and those holes still there behind the seats [:s] but I would have thought they'd have plated over those holes before the paint!

    Hayabusa (turbo) would be nice, but a GSXR 1000 engine would be a cheaper prospect, and is also commonly used in bike-to-car conversions.

    Start with a Polo Saloon, then it will have better proportions, the Squareback just look odd.
