How easy is it to dismantle a pierburg? I'm not talking about just separating the two halves, but getting the big springs and everything off. I've tried giving it a clean with some wd40 and a toothbrush but there's alot of muck in the springs that doesn't want to budge. I'm also toying with the idea of stripping it all down and taking it to be sandblasted. What do you reckon?
Aerosol carb cleaner from a pound shop is good for cleaning graesy dirt off most bits of an engine bay.
