Just for some balance I've had my polo a year now and done around 10,000 miles and I'm happy to report oil consumption has been worryingly low I bought 2x 5 litre cartons expecting the worst and after 10,000 miles with a fair amount of spirited driving/motorway/town/country roads I've used 2 litres !!! Anyway loving the car and kept her stock ... Yes boring I know but I'm hankering for a retro vw so I'm saving the pennies
