polo mk3 g40?

    iv been ofered a polo g40 for my mk1 golf gti are they any good i have a vr6 mk3 will it be as fun and fast or just feel slow and was there only 500 g40's in uk in mk3 form

    They are fast little beasts. I think they are 115bhp as standard. I have a polo gt which is only 75bhp. They dont handle as well as my mk2 but there great crack.(get better if lowered obviously)
    500 in the uk rings a bell but i cant be sure.

    theyre pretty quick, and easy to tune. standard i think theyre about the sorta performance you get from a valver, but like I say easy to tune, and in a car that weighs as little as a polo you dont need many more ponies to get a seriously quick car. standard brakes are pants tho!

    I've got a GT too, and although 75bhp doesnt sound like a lot, it a fair amount in a car that light. I wouldnt call the GT slow. (not far off an 8v GTI, ok no rocket ship, but you get a g40 for that ;))
