Couldnt find anything on google, maybe a reason.

Wondering if anyone has a mk3 with porsche twists reps, they are 5x100 fitment and wondering if they would suit a mk3?

Most reps I've seen are !7" and 5x100 pcd
    or
get orginal porsche wheels and run adapters 5x130 to 5x100 pcd

Is that the wheels your talking about in the pics below?

That middle MK3 looks really quite slick. Love these old school 993 wheels.

    Good luck with your hunt

Well IF you are sitting with the 18" just now I would stick them on and see how they look. I would offer my mk3 but I think Surrey to Scotland may be a bit far ;)

What breed of mk3 are you after?

Well you don't have to drive like a loon all the time ;)

But from my limited knowledge of the VR6, it would get my vote for the MK3.

Fingers crossed it is a good one. mind to read the rust checking thread in the MK3 section

Thanks Tom, just had a read over but was half asleep so wasnt able to reply. Im working a deal out with the guy now and also your the 2nd or 3rd person to say about good mpg the reason I brought up the mpg was I used to own a 2.0 8v mk4 and I got very bad mpg.. like 10 or something around that.. so that put me off big engines.

Maybe I had a bad engine or temp sensor went again

What are VR6 engines bad for? What should I look for?

    Thanks

I am no expert on the VR6 but this thread may be of some help ? http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?32926-VR6-Buyers-Guide

But over all it seams the only points to check that have been looked at are clutched and timing chain.

Really looking forward to hearing how you get on.

PS: We have a 2.0 8v mk3 and although don't pay much attention to the MPG but normally get about 30-35mpg on a run with out trying.

Where can I buy decent quality adapters, dont want poor quality ones.

Ive heard nightmare stories with wobble bolts and wheels coming loose :|

If you get proper adaptors you won't need wobble bolts.

Try the likes of Awesome or Venom Motorsport. They should do FK ones which aren't bad quality.

Also up and coming on the VAG-scene are G23 Engineering who can do any custom sizes you need.

I'm pretty sure if you give them (G23) the sizes, offsets, and which car they're going on, they can advise on what you'll need. It's worth bearing in mind though that PCD adaptors will always be 20-25mm thick.

You can get away with running a 25mm adapter with Porsche wheels as they have a very high offset. In fact it's a requirement to get them to fit
