Just got my vr6 toy and love it, had some problems with keyfob as battery was low it didnt want to unlock.. luckily it did but I would like to get a 2nd fob as a spare, can they be programmed via VCDS, is that possible? Thanks in advance
No. They can't with VCDS. The logic systems were installed by the dealer network and not the factory so they are actually standalone systems (I used to install them back in the 90s). There's a process to code up a new key but I can't remember it, I'll have a look in my garage and see if I still have the data sheet. Cheers. Noel
