I actually really like that idea, very much........

And as for the slamming, given my driveway, and the area around where i live, slamming is not an option, plus it's going to be a sortof workhorse, hence the project name.(although that's mainly down to me having recently completed my engineering diploma and i need something to fiddle with :p )

but a modest drop will be had, of course :)

given my racing foray, that's not a bad idea....

having looked around, where the hell do i get them from? lol. were they standard on the VR6? all i've found so far are lexus look ones, which are all kinds of wrong.

    Pre-MOT rap sheet

    oh b*****ks. [:^(]

Steering Column Top Bush Excessive Play,
Front Side Lights Inoperative (both, hoping this is a fuse or something simple),
Brake pipe from limiting valve to offside rear corroded to excess,
Nearside Front Inner steering Rack boot split,
Nearside front inner steering rack joint excessive play,
Both Rear tyres worn down to the canvas on inside edges,
Nearside front strut top bearing excessive play,
Offside Rear Wheel Bearing Excessive Play.

Gonna price the job up tomorrow at kidlington, sell the tax back, SORN it and have a think. might have taken on a bit more than is possible. specially when the chavstra has started playing up. [8(]

As title says, after a fortnight of begging and searching, a few 'issues' have arisen at home and i now do not have the time and finances to sort it. so car is for sale.

lump is good and whilst dr door needs de-rusting, the body is very straight, but interior is tatty. will put a proper for sale ad in the section. gutted TBH.[:^(]

Steering Column Top Bush Excessive Play,

Not sure what this is but probs not expensive.

Front Side Lights Inoperative (both, hoping this is a fuse or something simple),

    Check fuses.

Brake pipe from limiting valve to offside rear corroded to excess,

Might be a problem - brake lines into the bias valve or usually impossible to remove due to rust, otherwise, a brake line costs ~10.

Nearside Front Inner steering Rack boot split,

    New inner tie rod?

Nearside front inner steering rack joint excessive play,

    See above.

Both Rear tyres worn down to the canvas on inside edges,

    Get some new tyres. ;)

Nearside front strut top bearing excessive play,

New bearing = ~15 and easy job.

Offside Rear Wheel Bearing Excessive Play.

New wheel bearing = ~10 and easy job.

It's not half as bad as the sheet I got for my Golf, which I had owned for over a year and neglected for 6 months. So look on the bright side.
