push button starter / remote start

    anyone no how to make a home made push button starter kit as i'm bored and want somethin to play with i assume it's a case of turn the ignition on with the key then find which wires need to be joined to start it then just wire a switch in ?

    anyone got any info on colours etc ???

    You got the right idea.....but whats wrong with your key??!!!

    my m8 did it to a scrap car using a doorbell so im guessing its pretty easy. 'ding dong...bruuuum. :lol:

    my ignition switch packed up so i got a starter button fitted.its some sort of button from a lift. :lol:

    there are two options when wiring.one so it will crank regardles of key position and other will only crank when the ignition is on

    Looks like S2000 one but can be used to any car as far as I am aware.

    Often seen on ebay.

    My ex had a strange but clever set up on his old car which would throw a thief as there was no ignition barrel [:D]

    Yup S200. Very plasticky but will look ace when installed. It needs to be used with a relay otherwise it'll burn out fast.
