Just wondered how much to fit a quaife I have bought in a group buy on a fourm to a polo g40 atv gear box. The box was fine when I took it of the car but would it be advisable to check it over n rebuild it at the same time? Also would like the gear ratios checked that they are defiantly the genuine atv g40 box. Im turboing a g40 aiming for 190bhp ish just wondered if you had any adivse about changing 5th gear aswell for nicer cruising on motorways I know 5th gear set from an 8p box gives you longer 5th but does it make the car a pain in the ass an acualy slower having to string out fourth ?? Would you suggest using the whole 8p gear set with a g40 final drive to givethe whole box longer ratios or is it not all worth it ??
