I'm just about to reassemble the gearbox after fitting new bearings and an LSD.

    I have 2 questions.

First should I be using an assembly grease on the new bearings? There is nothing mentioned in the technical manual.

My second question is the differential bearing preload. I have a turning torque of just under 20 inch lb's. I understand on the 02a's they used a turning torque between 11-29 in lbs but nothing is listed for the 02J. Is the figure I have reasonable? Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Thanks

I'm no expert on gearboxes, just build them for my own use. No assembly lube, its flooded in oil and the 02A/J
are fundamentally the same box, so preload (I would imagine) is the same
