    Hey all,

I'v got a Mk4 20vT...at the moment with an induction kit, dump valve and custom exhaust its running 161.1bhp...i'm after 250bhp on a budget...

Remap is the obvious answer to get it close...anything else i can do without safely without big turbo conversion??

    Suggestions would be great!

ko3s and a remap and you might get 250 on an optimistic dyno.

    A real 250hp needs a turbo change.

I'd say 200 if you are lucky using the stock turbo....all these big power claims from a simple remap should be taken with a pinch of salt...

250bhp needs a k04 or hybrid, plus a map to suit.

he'll get 250 easy with the dyno he's using if he's got 161bhp with just an induction kit and custom exhaust!
unless it's a 180 model, then your engine is dead!

As i said before mate, go for a custom code remap, you'll love it. What engine code is yours by the way? Mine is a Aum, which has a k03s turbo as standard, so you may have it already!
With the mods you have plus a remap i'd say you should be looking at atleast 210bhp, as this was what i was estimated when i had mine done. Anything over that then you'll be looking at bigger turbos, bigger front mount intercooler ect.

Bill, by k03hybrid, is that the k03 housing machined to accept the k04 cartridge? Do you supply? If so how much are we talking?

Yes those are the saab ones but i think they are 346cc@3bars, but of course you can increase the fuel pressure as tshirt already said. When i was looking for mine i found a company that produced 380cc injectors for project cars and they also have an ebay seller.check this out if you want : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-380cc-FUE...CarParts_SM&hash=item5ad9d7a24e#ht_4047wt_907
