Anyone had any problems with these guys?

I thought they were a well respected company, thats until i ordered a set of Schmidt rims for my girlfriend off them. We paid an extra 30 for quicker delivery and htey said 11 days but arsed us about for over six weeks, blatently lieing about delivery dates. One person would say they are in the post and then the next time they would say they havent even been sent! When we finally got the rims one was damaged so we had to send it back, then they lost the rim in transit and proceeded to blame us! We were told it would take 5 days to get a replacement.... three weeks later and with the summer over we were soooo p***** off I rang up to speak to the mangager who was a cheeky f**ker to say the least. Wouldnt let me speak and proceeded to lecture me on how they send stuff to NI all the time with no problems. Well not this time! We eventually got the replacement rim and went to get them fitted only to discover one of the plastic rings was missing! they sent one out which of course was the wrong size.

a month later and we have just discovered that one of the rims has a tiny pinhole in it so the tyre goes down very slowly. they thought we were lying when we phoned to tell them and asked for photos, saying "well i've never heard of that before". so we sent them the photos and received an email saying that the wheels were on their way and would be there in 5 days. it eventually arrived two weeks later.

i will be surprised if most of you havent read this far as its a bit long but i'm so p***** of with this companys service and customer care. i feel like e-mailing Schmidt to tell them their UK distributers are t**sers and a waste of time. i will never order of them again even if it costs me more!

ps. we NEVER received a single apology for any of this!!

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Got my lights next day as promised. I suppose they have to get it right once, eh?

But saying that, they did send 200 of goods by non-signed for post meaning it sat outside my house all day!

Ive been waiting nearly three weeks for a VDO gauge surround, they initially sent me a dodgy looking off-cut of metal with three holes in it and no fixing clips, absolute pile of poo and the front was scratched.

Told to send it back, I asked if I could bring it with me to Inters and swap it (which itself was pants) and when i got there, they informed me the guy who was bringing them-didnt!

Promised me i would recieve the correct black crackle effect one with securing clips by yesterday at the latest-guess what-still waiting [:x]

I've ordered a few bit's off of R&A and never had a problem; Then again it was only a set of mats and a gearknob.

I think I'd be pretty pis*ed off if someone says they're in the post then the next person says they're not. Dishonesty is the thing that lets alot of companies down. No need for it.

dont start me on these bunch of losers!!!! many years ago i
ordered one of the first set of schmidt th line wheels through these
monkeys..i knew they would prob take a little while to arrive an was
prepared for a wait as they werent a standard offset or width. i
ordered an payed for em (1500quid in 2000). then the problems an
generally p*ss poor service started!!!! for 9 months the saga of my
missin rims went on and not once did they ever call to give me any
ideas when i would finally receive em. i can totally understand
problems with supppliers lettin these guys down an it not being totally
there fault, but they never even tried to find anything out an kept
bullsh*tin stories about who or what the problem was!!!! the wheels
then left schmidt 6 months after the order an for the next three or so
months they didnt have a clue where they were which country or
anything....i spent a fortune in phone calls to germany an the idiots
at r n a. not once did i ever get a call from them explaining
anything....if your gonna spend money with these guys, then good
luck!!! things may be different now but that aint the point....i wanted
somethin a little bit different an thought they would have been keen to
try an promote what at that time was a new product for them.......i
still cringe whenever i see ricks irritating face at shows......save
your money, book a ferry, take in a show an pick up the good stuff
    yourself!!!

just for what it's worth i have never dealt with r&a but a few of my friends have and their experiences have been mixed.

i have heard on the various forums that rick has got serious money problems.he hassacked all his staff and is currently selling his golf r32[:^(].

schmidt is currently supplying other tuners direct, companys like bodystyle and venom.

remember the old saying-"you reep what you sow".

    i think he's currently reeping!

Just ordered a set of Wolfedale mats from R+A last night.
Didn't think to check here first - doh!

After all that's been said about them here recently, I don't hold out much hope. Then again, finger's crossed!..

Well, just had a call from R+A - apparently I screwed my order up and they were just checking I didn't want two sets of mats!
    That was nice of them.

Anyway, mats are on their way.
