Hello guys, some of you might remember me but a lot of you will definitely remember Parz The second coming! I found out last night he passed away in 2021 and to say I’m heart broken is an understatement! I linked his memory page at the bottom of this post and was wondering if anyone had any old photos laying about I could pass on to his family? He hated pictures of any kind or any type of digital footprint, if you have any they will be like gold dust! I hope it’s ok I posted, I met Parz because of this forum and for that I’m eternally grateful. https://patrickcatchpole.muchloved.com/
I will mention him on the Club GTI FB page and link to this post. Thanks for letting us all know. Ed.
Haven't signed in to the forum for years but just wanted to leave an RIP for TSC, I remember his posts from back in the day when the forums were very active. Always had interesting and often amusing things to say. How sad
I was very sad to hear from Elly this morning about Parz's passing - I still have nightmares about the GTI Inters/ Camp fire/ hired corsa wood collecting/ machete incident..... A phrase used too often, but he was truly one of a kind.
Whilst I hit "like" on your post, that's only because there isn't a weeping/caring/melancholy/smiling at memories reaction available
Terrible to hear that news. Parz was always great craic on our local gti outings way back in the early 2000's, him and FastEddie together was some craic - both now sadly gone i guess i can say part of Parz lives on in my golf as its him who i got my 9a off way back then RIP
Heartbreaking - I thought he'd go on forever. I bet he's causing chaos and mayhem wherever he is now - I can't imagine him resting or doing anything else peacefully. xxx
Also came here after seeing Toyotec's FB post today. I remember some properly funny posts from 20 years ago when we would genuinely be ROFL'ing till the early hours of the morning (as well as the informative ones too!) RIP TSC ♥️
Just wanted to pop in too and pay my respects….feels fitting for all the originals to come back here to send him off! Definitely the funniest and memorable member of CGTI. I just remember nights of crying laughing over the stuff he’d say! He will be sorely missed! RIP TSC
Aw he was a good laugh. Im sure i still have PM's from him. Back in the day on here was some laugh man.
Aww man. Such sad news. It’s amazing the memories you can have if someone you have never met in person, no idea what they looked like and only chatted with via threads in here. A yet still gonna miss him. He’s an example of how his being left an impression on me on some level. I play, or played, a lot of an online game called eveOnline. You can have loads of characters - indeed it’s helpful to do so. I had made so many that made it difficult to make up some names for all of them. So I unashamedly, and directly as a result of the memories of him here, I stole his forumname. This was what he always looked like in my head: https://evewho.com/character/92271053 As the say in EveOnline, Flysafe o7
Loved this man; for his knowledge, his awesome stories and for making the clubgti forum such an enjoyable place to be. Never met him in person, wish I had. Thanks for sharing the sad news and linking to the memory page, Miss P.
RIP TSC. I have not been on here for years, but also just saw the Facebook post and wanted to drop in to pay my respects. Unfortunately never met Parz in person but really wish I had. Always loved his posts on here, he seemed larger than life. I learned a heap from him and sometimes laughed so hard it hurt. Very sad to hear of his passing. Ian.
Firstly, thank you for sharing. That is truly sad news, TSC was rightly famous for his razor sharp wit, intelligent comment, and all for always being interesting. Rest in peace Patrick
