R32 lump in a MK2 Golf

    Anyone got any ideas if the R32 lump can be dropped into a Mk2, is the r32 lump heavier then the Vr6

    I think they might b a shortage at your local scrappy mate ;) , try VAg dealer but think they might b quite a bit of dough [:o)]

    there was a green mk2 in belgium at hofstade with a 3.1 or 3.2 (cant remember) vr6 lump on TB's apparently from what i gathered nicely tuned too, was the large pic on pvw's mk2 poster - not sure on spec but thats gotta be gettin close if not better than standard R32 spec?

    slap me if i'm being stupid[:o)]

    snapped up, the R32 lump, wiring loom complete and pedal box, management system was gone, any chances it will go in?

    It cost me 2000 roughly because i picked up loads of other bits as well and have already got offers for it!

    I think your gonna be on slim ground here as obviously not many of those conversions done.

    However there are plenty of places that will fit anything to anything as long as you wave the

    I would imagine a management system can be produced without too much bother.

    I think a few phonecalls to respected tuners is on the cards.

    I have it, off a very very good source, that R32 engines can be had for 3.5k off VW as obsolete stock!!!!! :o WTF!!!!!!

    maybe they don't pass the new emmission regs

    yeah 800gs can do this, he has already done 24v VR6 into mk1 give him a ring 01256 398998

    The only thing I can see as a concern with getting it is that the management system is gone. You need matching Clocks, ECU, and Key to get past the Immob.

    I know that 800G's has the software to program the old Mk3 Vr6 Immob to work on mis matched parts, but not sure he has with the new R32 Immob.

    surely it could run on the normal 24v management and rechip?
