Got a lift in my mates 07 R32 with DSG box today. All i can say is god what a sound and what a nice car!! Didnt feel massively quick acceleration but that seems to be down to the lovely smoothness you get. Seemed good off the line with the awesome traction. it has. When he had it switched to the paddles from auto and built the revs up it sounded like sex!! basically i want one!
I dont blame you, they are lovely machines. I had a Mk5 GTI, and it was a superb car. The R32 isnt any faster particularly, but the sound and smoothness are immense.
They are a nice drive, I've driven a good number of them bit of a lazy aka smooth engine but it does the job to amazing degrees
I agree I miss my mkIV r32 badly just loved the sound of the v6 grunt an the look oh and the seats and well yeh list goes on! Dout I'll get another with the way the fuel prices are going!
Had a Mk4 R32 with and APR exhaust & cat, then a Mk5 R32 with a Millek. Both sounded brilliant but the noise from the Mk4 was the best - it was like a baby Lambo!!!
