Reminds me of the 'Ghostbusters' car for some reason.

 

Don't get the rust look personally, but I suppose it is easily put back to normal, just put the old bonnet and grill on and take the stupid roof rack off.

im not into pansy cosmetic stuff, but thats pretty cool due to the contrast.

i suppose its not 'scene' so it wont have that many fans

 

Or maybe it's so 'scene' it's too much for everyone.

if I saw it in the street I'd stop and stare. it would bring a smile to my face as well

 

I agree with what somebody else has said - on a mk1/mk2 maybe, but mk5... nah not liking it.

the mk5 should wait 20 years (as should all cars) before ratting

i do like rust bonnets but mk1&2 only maybe mk3

to me the "rat " is a car that is ALL GO and little to no show
