Here you go Dan and anyone else interested. The pics are poor quality as it's only a 2.0MP camera, plus I had to use the flash in the garage, plus the heat shield is in the way along with a load of other testicles!! I have to swap the head to fit my ported one soon, so will do a detailed breakdown then :)
P.S. Mods - sorry about the size, I'm useless with computers...

    1)Water return slot:

2)Righthand side (when facing engine) and vaccuum feed, plus thumb :p :
3)Head to Manifold connection - note machining around bolt points as the manifold didn't fit perfectly:
4)Left hand side - note fuel rail support connection point:
5)Left hand side, note very sharp angle raising T/b's for alternator clearance; I also had to machine the manifold for an extra 3deg. rise as the alt. is higher on the ABF:

    6)Side angle:

No worries, as I said, the detail is pretty poor but it's an idea anyway...

Inlet manifold... looks like mangopooty one... is it? (mangoletsi)
You may benefit from a TWM Induction one... smoother runners and transition. DCOE bodies.. 45mm bore?

    Looks a neat installation..
I like the heat shielding on the inlet side.. [:D]

Some ITB installations on this page too>> ITB pictures

LOL! I don't know if it's the mangosh1tter one, but the quality is pretty poor - I might have a look at the TWM one, as they are the 45mm DCOE's. Should have just bought your DTH's and put up with the import tax - probably the same after I bought the manifold anyway [8(]

Agreed!! I was going to put it in my Mk1 and am still very tempted, it just means I have to go another step with the brakes and add a lot more cash [:s]

It is totally stock interally ATM, and the claimed figures have been 187 and 189BHP, but I'm pretty skeptical on that one, as it doesn't feel *that* quick, although the long 02A makes it really decieving in gears. It's going on the dyno on the 9th of June at a different workshop, so I'll be interested to see what it does. The torque is super strong from idle, but it runs out of puff up higher...

I've decided on the Techtonics Tuning 276 camset, so will order them when the budget lets me, should cure the top end, plus I have a new head to go on

They don't make the best of manifolds, the ones for the 8v and 16v
XU peugeot engines are meant to be terrible too

    Like the heatsheild.... :)

Don't stress - the carbs will sound awesome too!! That heat shield is alloy from a metal distributor and was $30 for a sheet. There's better stuff available now, though which is s'posed to disperse the heat a bit more...

ace pictures, just one thing, individual sock filters are notoriously bad for air flow.

Really? I want a complete airbox with a single pod filter inlet but the alternator sits too high on the ABF, so there's very little room unless I lose the a/c and put the alt. in its place, which is still an option.

What are you running for filter/s on your ITB's?

as you say, the backing plate can cause problems, its quite close to the mater cylinder on mine.

i suppose it boils down to what fits.

I've seen a couple of cars running these. What I'm really going to have to do, though, is design a custom alternator bracket that will run it a bit lower, even if it's only like 20mm, still keeping the a/c (as it's bloody hot here in summer and if I ever want to sell the car, it'd be hard with no a/c); that way I can run an airbox...
