GTi spec arches were never the same as G60 ones, at least not in the UK. You cant really go by what the yanks say anyway, as the Mk2's they got had different specs than ours ;)

    Easy Andy,

You know that even when you give someone advice on here, they either ignore it, or repost the same question a week later when they have forgotten the useful advice and cant be arsed to search for the topic. ;)

Also doesnt help when tw**ts who base their knowledge off of information gained via word of mouth or from the internet, post as if they know what the f**k they are talking about, when they clearly dont. [:x]

Yeah very true dave, gettin really really fed up of answerin the same questions time and time again, and i know i'm not the only one. The 280mm brake questions for example!

If people dont know the answers then dont post.

Maybe we can get this techincal section to be a really good resource rather than full fo crap like it is at the mo!

Not really having a go at you lowridingvw (even if it looks that way), but having used this forum for the three years that it has existed, I cant help but get fed up at seeing the same problems coming up time and time again.

You can guarantee that as soon as it starts raining there will be posts about puddles in the footwells, heater matrix failures etc. and basically the same ground gets covered time and time again.

IMHO the FAQ should be got rid of, a new part of the Club GTI website (on the main page with a link from the forum) should be set aside on how tos such as on the matey-matey website where write ups (by people who know what they are doing)of how to upgrade your brakes, fit big bumpers etc., etc. then it would make the forum a less painful place to be, as it seems to be at the moment.

    Just my 2p worth [:^(]

G60 arches both front and back are wider than those issued on UK GTI's.

In answer to another question above the U.S late GTI's, some were in fact fitted with these wider arches.

Hope that answers the question. Oh and if you have G60 trim you can fit it to a 1.3, 1.6, Diesel etc etc etc
