recoding a bentley key to work with the A4?

does anyone know if they can recode a betley key to work with a A4 2005? I will hopefully get the bentley key apart tonight and confirm that the freq of the 2 is the same - should be as both are 3 button keys,

will there be any other issues anyone know? will the immobilisers have to be the same ages are is all later vag stuff the same?

I remember this being asked on edition, might be worth a search on there

 

cheers Ill have a look, but I have since been told if the keys already been coded it cant be recoded so it maybe a no go for the audi... but if so it will happly be used for the mk2

 

You may be able to remove chip and replace with audi one.

 

ive not bothered now,... ive just chopped up a mk2 key and fitted the blade to it
