Hi folks, I have got myself a set of red/smoked/red rear lights (modified not original). The indicators are flashing red so I thought buying orange bulbs would cure it but they are still clearly flashing red instead of orange. Does anyone have any advice on making the cluster display orange when using indicators. I really like the look of them and would like to keep them on the car. At the same time, I won’t keep them on if it means unwanted attention from police. Cheers, Paul
Remove red tint from indicator area and use smoke instead, or treat yourself to design 911 clear/red mk3 set of lamps. https://www.design911shop.com/Rear-...lzMF-UGy5fEsLXalUN2fn25XXVyBwrCsaAhWoEALw_wcB
Mk3 has indicator at top, looks like the red tint is too strong for it to show through. The hella coloured ones and oem tints are more 'lines' of colour I believe. Could use something like that fly-eye vinyl tint with the holes in it to achieve it on a standard set of lights. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30CM-x-1...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
I can’t believe this. The fella who did the lights just got back to me and said all I have to do is use green bulbs! Red and green makes orange! Just ordered some off eBay. Thanks to all above for your responses. Paul.
I've an original hella set of red black red in the garage somewhere was going to check bulbs but can se you got sorted
