Well heres a replacement from the MK3 Ibiza. Get in there quick before VAG realise and bump the price up

    6K5 411 309 - 20mm bar - 38.19+VAT (uses MK2 inner bush)
    6K0 411 309 A - 23mm bar 'for sports type running gear' - 40.44+VAT (uses MK3 inner bush)

    191 411 314 - mk2 inner mount - 2.58+VAT or:
    http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=496

    1H0 411 314 - mk3 inner mount - 3.77+VAT or:
    http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=515

    However:
    6K0 411 315 - drop link - 21.07+VAT Ouch!!
But, AVS list this part number to be the same as the G60 drop link, available at muchos discountings:
    http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=741

The MK3 biza uses a MK3 subframe and MK2 wishbones, so it should fit any MK2/3 Golf 4 stud chassis, or a MK3 5 stud chassis with Passat 5 stud wishbones

would the above roll bar be a good enough upgrade for when someone does a vr conversion if they want to keep the four stud set up

at least as good as a G60 roll bar upgrade, but not as good as an aftermarket kit such as eibach, h&r etc.
pretty cheap from vag though

the 23mm bar above I think is that thick pretty much all the way along, whereas the G60 bar tapers out towards the ends. I'm not sure if that would make it stiffer than a G60 bar but I guess it would? Also depends what it made of and the overall shape I guess.

[simpleton mode] How do those two compare to the front ARB on my mk2 1.8 Driver? significantly larger/stiffer? [/simpleton mode]
And is it just arb + droplinks + the G60 inner ARB bushes? so about 60 squid + vat for the lot?

your oem driver arb is 18mm, so a large amount of extra beefiness.

yup thats all you'll need, you re-use the old inner bush clamps. just a case of having to drop the subby a bit to swap it all over.

    yep!

    edit: in theory

It should fit, as i say biza uses mk2 wishbones and mk3 subby, mk2/3 arb bushes n drop links etc so the shape should be right. unless theres summat odd about the biza shell that makes a difference. pretty sure its the same though. My gf has a MK3 biza so could have a shufti...

Don't they do a diesel Ibiza one that's even thicker? 28mm springs to mind.

    So basically i need to order;

    6K0 411 309 A

    1H0 411 314 x2

And a pair of G60 toplinks from GSF?

And if i've got the space to go 4-stud wide track with the compomotives on this would all still work with passat 4-stud wishbones (and the longer track rods of course)

pretty much, can get the inner bushes from avs, maybe gsf too?
    http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=515

as above i can see no reason why theyu wont fit, just if the seat has some kind of oddity with the bodyshell. the subby & bones all suggest the arb should fit right on though :)

I'm sure the 23mm bar is the same I got a seat inca 1.9d van. (polo/ibiza based?)

same diameter all the way along, just need the bars that have an offset and a slight cutting of the inner bushes to make them fit.

you need the MK3 1H0 inner mounts I listed above, those have a thicker hole in for the larger diameter bar. g60 inner bushes are the same as normal MK2 ones

wtf, the car isnt even 10 years old, muppets [:x]

there is this one - 6K0 411 309 but vag-cat cant see a price anymore either, so prob disconnedc. iirc when it did have a price it was much more expensive than the other part number.
