If you can get to them fairly easily, you should be able to use a dot punch and hammer them undone.

ChrisP mentioned using a small belt sander to grind the tops off when we were at Snett. :)

I normall dril a hole in the middle and hammer a torx in there (bought some Halfords ones especially for this ), or if you`re really rough you may be able to persuade a 12point socket over the outside?.

Depends how deep the heads are I suppose.

We've got a kit at work to remove rounded off bolts, best way I can describe the shape of the socket is it's a female E-Z out [:$]

If its a mk2 and your doing it to fit the pedal box theres no need to.

you can undo the 2 13mm at the very top of the colomn.

Think Ian wants to fit some spacers in his mk1's column to drop it a bit.

My brother has a set made by Irwin from the Facom Van. Look like reverse of an Easy Out as GVK says.

Saw a JML screw extractor in Wolworths today which look like a LHT'd drill for 6 a set which might work?

Cheers for the advice guys i got one of the Irwin rounded nut extrator kits in the end and got them both off in about 5mins. [:D]

Made up some spacers and now have a lowered steering colomn, much better and well worth 1/2 hours effort. :)
