    1990,

I just insured my 1992 stock Mk2 GTI 8v with elephant.
I have no no claims (the wife has all that), 32, married, 1 kid - 350.00 fully comp. [:D]

I had to call them up to make sure it was real. The only downside (if you can call it that) was that you have to pay full amount upfront.

    Give them a try.

    Sounds good

I'm 25 with full no claims, 2 kids, living in sin, non smoker car in garage, i think they should do me similar if not better with a bit of luck.

My slightly modded 8V MK2 was costing a massive 336 fully comp with HIC last year. I was 25 with full NCB protected, car on drive, lowered, exhaust, wheels etc. I expect it to have at least doubled for this years!!

    I've just accepted a quote from Elephant for my R32 - 690 [:D]

25, 8 years NCB, 2 named drivers, protected NCB, one SP30.

I've heard a few bad stories about Elephant, so I hope everything goes ok with my policy [:s]

Actually I don't think the postcode thing has any logic behind it. I'm in the middle of moving house and have just moved out of Caterham, I'm in a temp address ATM but my bike is being stored at my brother's flat in Crawley. From moving the bike from Caterham to Crawley reduced my insurance by nearly 100.

I know Crawley is further from London but it's not exactly utopia IYSWIM, by contrast Caterham is the first place I've lived in a long long time where there hasn't been a murder down my street (well, not in the Valley anyway).

Well, I have lived in dodgy areas of Wimbledon and Hampton, and no, I moved out of there long b4 that bus girl nr Sainsbury's, plenty of murders, muggings and arson going on there b4 that made the news, we all had 999 on speed dial! It's a wonder I sold that house, the girl who bought it lived with her parents just around the corner so there was no pulling the wool over her eyes.
