Replace 175/70 r13s with 185/60s on original mk1 wheels - ok?

    60 is a bit on the small size 185 65 13 would be better
    mine had 205/60/13 on it but they rubbed on the inner arch a bit at full lock i went to 185 60 14 with steel rims

    the rolling radius is very close on the 205 60 13 thats why people used fitted them

    hi, Thanks for the reply. So 185/60s would fit but be a little lower side wall height (my calculation is 11mm lower).

    aye they would fit fine but would alter the gearing if you don't mind losing a bit of top end speed all is good
    acceleration will be slightly better as well
