How easy/hard is it to replace the bearings in a 6 speed Lupo GTI box? I am a fully qualified 'home mechanic', but i've never delved into a gearbox! I have been told that the final drive bearing is causing the whining noise, but i would like to change any others that could potentially be worn. Failing that, can anyone on here do gearbox refurbs?
