    hi

my passenger electric window has bust...it goes down, but wont go up under its own steam. while its operating there are weird noises coming from inside the door, like crushing noises, and there are also little plastic shavings falling inside the door as i operate them.

my main question is.... is there a 'how to' on replacing the regulator/mechanism? if not can anyone give me some sort of guide. ive used the search but to no avail.

    cheers

take it out and dismantle the mechanism, you'll find the wire cable has come off the runner inside the mechanism & its chewing it up. sometimes they are recoverable, sometimes not

its all pretty straightforward to remove & dismantle it. just take doorcard off. then it just bolts to door, and remove glass from mechanism -just two bolts
